Kosovo authorities seize over €460,000 in gold, silver and illegal weapons in Prizren
The Prosecutor's Office in Prizren, cooperating with the Regional Unit for the Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption, Kosovo Customs and the Tax Administration, carried out coordinated raids on six businesses and three residential premises. The operations resulted in the seizure of approximately 3.78 kg of undeclared gold and 4.20 kg of undeclared silver, valued at about €455,000 and €8,900 respectively, totaling more than €460,000.
During the same raids, two unlicensed firearms were also confiscated. Four individuals have been charged with tax evasion under article 307 of the Kosovo Criminal Code and customs duty evasion under article 312, as well as illegal possession of weapons under article 366. Investigations remain ongoing.
The seizures follow earlier actions in Prizren, including a similar confiscation of gold and silver worth roughly half a million euros in September 2024.
