Kosovo commemorates 28th anniversary of Battle of Rahovec
On the 28th anniversary of the Battle of Rahovec, a key engagement of the Kosovo Liberation Army in July 1998, officials and citizens gathered in Malisheva to honour the fallen heroes. The ceremony featured tributes from senior figures such as Commander Çeliku, Fatmir Limaj, former deputy Nait Hasani, General Selim Krasniqi, and local leaders, who placed wreaths at the graves of the martyrs and unveiled commemorative plaques.
The event remembered eight members of the Malisheva community – Prof. Hamdi Berisha, Habib Berisha, Gani Paçarizi, Ramadan Morina, Sadik Shala, Liman Gegaj, Afrim Krasniqi and Ruzhdi Gjyliqi – highlighting their sacrifice as a symbol of Kosovo’s struggle for independence and underscoring the ongoing duty to preserve their memory.
