Kosovo Customs Seizes 113 Smuggled Mobile Phones

Kosovo Customs officials seized 113 smuggled mobile phones during an operation on October 23 targeting a mobile phone trading business. The operation, initiated following operational intelligence, began at a business premises and expanded to a nearby residence used for storing the contraband.

The seized devices included various brands and models, such as Apple iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, Xiaomi, Redmi, POCO, Google Pixel, OnePlus, and Huawei. The responsible individual failed to provide documentation proving the legal origin of the goods or evidence of proper customs import procedures and duty payments.

As a result of the operation, all phones were confiscated. The suspect was interviewed by competent officials and, following an order from the case prosecutor, was released to undergo regular legal proceedings.
