Kosovo election results slated for June 26, certification by July 6

Kosovo’s Central Election Commission (KQZ) said it plans to announce the final results of the early parliamentary vote on 26 June and to complete official certification by 6 July. The timetable depends on the progress of vote counting in municipal centres and any complaints filed with the Electoral Appeals Panel and the Supreme Court.

Counting has begun in 15 of the 38 municipalities and will continue in the remaining 23. Over 104,480 voters were registered for postal voting, with 22,414 ballots cast at 30 Kosovo diplomatic missions abroad. The commission will verify these and scan voter lists to detect possible double voting. Preliminary results show the Vetëvendosje movement, led by Prime Minister Albin Kurti, winning 42.91 % of the vote, followed by the Democratic Party (21.08 %) and the Democratic League (17.60 %). The elections were called after the previous parliament failed to elect a president within the constitutional deadline.
