Kosovo family of arrested man seeks diplomatic help after Serbia detention
Arben Selmani, son of Osman Selmani who was recently arrested in Serbia, says his family is receiving no institutional assistance. He says he has repeatedly contacted Kosovo’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Justice without any response, and has appealed for documents that could prove his father’s innocence during the war, asking for help from NATO and the OSCE.
Selmani notes that the only concrete support so far has come from Kosovo’s ambassador in Belgrade, Jetishi, who offered advice. He also reported that his father, now 74, is in pre‑trial detention but is in good health, according to his lawyer.
