Kosovo joins international ATA Carnet system

The Kosovo Chamber of Commerce has announced that Kosovo has been admitted to the international ATA Carnet system. This mechanism, often referred to as a “goods passport,” is designed to facilitate the temporary movement of goods across borders.

Issued by the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, the ATA Carnet will allow businesses to temporarily export goods, professional equipment, and products used in international fairs and exhibitions without paying customs duties or import taxes, provided they comply with the regulations of the host countries.

This integration is expected to reduce administrative barriers, promote “Made in Kosovo” products, and increase the participation of Kosovar companies in regional, European, and global markets by simplifying customs procedures.
