Kosovo's leading judoka Akil Gjakova announced the start of a new phase in his career, aiming to qualify for the Olympic Games for a third time. In a social‑media post he highlighted more than a decade of competing among the world’s elite and expressed pride in his achievements. He credited his longtime trainer Driton Kuka as a key influence on his development and thanked the supporters who have followed him since the early stages of his career. Gjakova’s goal is to secure a place at the upcoming Olympics and continue representing Kosovo at the highest level of international judo.
