Kosovo Minister Ivan Stoillkoviq Criticized for Not Condemning Anti‑Albanian Slogans

Ivan Stoillkoviq, Kosovo's Minister of Local Self‑Governance, was questioned about his lack of response to repeated anti‑Albanian chants such as “death to Albanians” that have occurred in Kumanovo and surrounding areas, including sports venues. While he had previously spoken out when the cultural association “Sëprski Vez” entered Kumanovo, Stoillkoviq said he did not want to spoil the atmosphere of the current event and directed further inquiries to the ministry, offering journalists an interview.

Critics note that despite earlier statements, no individuals have been prosecuted for the hate slogans that have appeared on walls and in stadiums. Stoillkoviq emphasized that he has always been willing to meet with officials and media, but questioned why the issue was raised only now.
