Kosovo missing persons: Two individuals identified via DNA
The Government Commission on Missing Persons has announced the identification of two individuals who went missing during the war in Kosovo. The identification was made possible through DNA analysis and a thorough review of remains held at the Institute of Forensic Medicine, supplemented by biological samples provided by family members.
Officials clarified that these two cases are not linked to recent excavations in Zubin Potok, Kalludër, or Jabukë, nor to any other locations addressed earlier this year. The remains were exhumed previously and are not part of the most recent field activities. Families will be notified of the results and subsequent steps in accordance with official procedures.
