Kosovo Parliament Leaves Former PDK and LVV Deputies Out of New Legislature
A number of former ministers, ex‑mayors and well‑known political, academic and sporting figures will not secure seats in Kosovo’s new parliamentary term. Prominent members of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), such as Xhavit Haliti and Nait Hasani, are among those excluded, as are former deputies from the Vetëvendosje (LVV) list, including Bekë Berisha, Rozeta Hajdari and Vigan Qorrolli. The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) has largely regained its previous members, with only Adelina Thaqi failing to obtain a mandate. The updates reshape the composition of the Assembly ahead of the start of the new legislative period.
These changes are expected to affect party dynamics and legislative activity, particularly within the PDK and LVV parliamentary groups, while the LDK’s near‑full restoration may strengthen its influence in the upcoming session.
