Kosovo police arrest five suspects in Reçak war crimes case

The Kosovo Police, together with the Special Prosecutor’s Office, carried out a series of raids under the investigation known as “Reçaku II”. Five individuals were detained, though the police did not disclose their identities or the exact locations of the arrests.

The operation is connected to the 1999 Reçak massacre, in which 42 Albanian civilians were killed. Previously, the Special Prosecutor’s Office had indicted 21 suspects for war crimes related to that event. Authorities announced a press conference to provide further details about the arrests.
