Albanian police seize 600 g of TNT and hand grenades in anti‑terror operation

Police in Tirana arrested a 52‑year‑old man during the coded operation “Porosia”. The suspect was caught on Kastriotët Street in Fushë‑Krujë while attempting to discard a bag containing 600 g of tritonal explosive (TNT) along with two hand‑grenades, two grenade‑launchers, two detonator fuses and six additional detonator capsules ready for explosion. The special unit “Shqiponja” seized the materials and placed the suspect in custody. The operation, conducted jointly by the Special Forces and the Illegal Trafficking Investigation Section, concluded that the man was attempting to sell the explosive devices. No additional weapons were found at the scene.
