Kosovo police fine speeding driver €500 and suspend licence for six months
Kosovo police in the Ferizaj region penalised three drivers for serious traffic offences as part of an operational plan to improve road safety. A 28‑year‑old driver, N.B., was stopped in the village of Rakaj driving an Audi at 161 km/h in a 50 km/h zone. He received a €500 fine, five penalty points and a six‑month driving ban.
A 23‑year‑old driver, D. Ç, had his licence revoked for 12 months after accumulating ten penalty points for multiple violations between August 2025 and June 2026. Another 23‑year‑old driver, A. H, was caught in an unsafe overtaking maneuver on Enver Topalli street and was fined €200, given two penalty points and a three‑month licence suspension. Police said the cases were reported through the digital “Lajmëro Policinë” platform and urged citizens to continue reporting violations via phone 192, the police station, or the app.
