Kosovo probes fake “Lule Gjeli” profile tied to ambassador Martin Berishaj
Analyst Sadri Ramabaja stated that the fabricated social‑media profile “Lule Gjeli” was used to manipulate public opinion about Kosovo’s ambassador to Croatia, Martin Berishaj, and that former deputy Haki Abazi was also involved. He said the profile is currently under criminal investigation and noted that a young man in Prizren had assembled a large photographic archive of crimes that has aided the justice system.
Former deputy Haki Abazi confirmed that he has met the individual behind the “Lule Gjeli” account, who has operated under multiple identities. He said the Special Prosecutor’s Office has opened a case, and he is ready to provide evidence. Abazi also warned that a “Facebook militia” linked to the profile is targeting public figures, including officials from the United States.
