Kosovo ranks 60th in 2026 Henley Passport Index

The 2026 Henley Passport Index shows Singapore retaining the top spot with visa‑free access to 192 destinations. Japan, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates share second place with 188 visa‑free destinations, while Sweden is third with 187. Several European nations, including Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway and Spain, each have access to 186 destinations.

Kosovo is placed 60th, alongside China, with visa‑free travel to 83 destinations. The ranking reflects a substantial improvement for Kosovo, which has risen 35 places since 2016. Belarus ranks 62nd with 78 visa‑free destinations. The United Arab Emirates recorded the largest rise over the past two decades, gaining 153 additional visa‑free destinations and moving to second place. The United Kingdom fell to sixth, and the United States remains tenth with access to 180 destinations.

Christian H. Kaelin, chairman of Henley & Partners, said that passport strength increasingly influences opportunities, security and economic participation, noting that the benefits of global mobility are concentrated among the most economically and politically powerful countries.
