Kosovo receives diplomatic backing from Albania while its government rolls out new job‑creation programmes

Albanian Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha presented a four‑month review of his tenure, highlighting dozens of diplomatic trips, meetings with 27 EU foreign ministers and outlining Albania’s priorities: progressing EU accession, supporting Kosovo, strengthening the Albanian factor in the region, engaging the diaspora, boosting security and improving consular services.

Kosovo’s Minister of Economy and Work Besar Durmishi reported on two years of ministry activity, stressing that the main objectives have been creating jobs, improving the business climate and attracting new investment. He said more than 2.5 billion denars were allocated for active employment measures in 2025 and a further 2.41 billion denars are planned for 2026 to assist over 10,000 citizens through self‑employment, internships, retraining and subsidised hiring. Durmishi affirmed that reforms will continue, focusing on investment growth, strengthening local companies and raising living standards.
