Kosovo regulator orders removal of Vita dairy products with palm oil

The Central Market Inspection Authority (IQMT) began inspections across Kosovo and ordered nine companies, including Vita, to withdraw from the market all products labelled as containing plant‑origin fats such as palm and coconut oil. The agency will continue monitoring compliance throughout the country.

The Food and Veterinary Agency (AUV) reported that laboratory tests found 12 Vita dairy products non‑conforming because of undeclared palm oil, milk powder, or other plant‑based ingredients. AUV ordered the immediate market withdrawal of these items, placed the production line under heightened supervision, and halted the manufacture of 26 products produced outside the approved scope until proper authorization is obtained.
