Kosovo Special Prosecutor Isufaj Says Jashari Family Massacre Probe Near Completion

Special Prosecutor Blerim Isufaj said the investigation into the 1998 attack on the Jashari family in Prekazi is "very sensitive" and will be concluded soon, with an indictment expected once sufficient evidence is gathered. He indicated that the probe is in its final stages and emphasized the need for discretion.

Isufaj also referred to other war‑crime related actions by the Special Prosecutor’s Office, noting recent arrests linked to the Rečak massacre and the Skenderaj case. In addition, he highlighted a series of coordinated operations against organized crime, involving asset seizures worth about €1 million and arrests made with the assistance of police and judicial authorities from Spain, France, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Europol/Eurojust. These actions target drug‑trafficking money‑laundering networks and other transnational criminal groups.
