Kosovo parliamentary election count puts LVV ahead and highlights top‑voted candidates and women

The Central Election Commission of Kosovo has reported that more than 92 % of votes have been counted, with the latest update showing 98.08 % of ballots tallied. Preliminary results place the Vetëvendosje (LVV) movement in the lead, projected to secure between 48 and 52 seats in the 120‑member assembly.

Among the most‑voted candidates, LVV leader Albin Kurti tops the list with over 240,000 votes, followed by Glauk Konjufca and Albulena Haxhiu. In the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Bedri Hamza leads with 116,000 votes, while the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) sees Vjosa Osmani ahead with more than 80,000 votes. The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) lists Ardian Gjini as its top candidate.

The election also highlighted the most‑voted women across parties. Vetëvendosje’s Albulena Haxhiu led all parties with 121,280 votes, followed by Donika Gërvalla‑Schwarz and Mimoza Kusari‑Lila. PDK’s Vlora Çitaku, LDK’s Vjosa Osmani, and AAK’s Time Kadrijaj were the leading women in their respective lists.

Former ambassador Gjergj Dedaj accused the diaspora vote of being “manipulated” and claimed the LVV bought votes domestically while stealing abroad. Election officials, including Valmir Elezi, expect the counting of diaspora and postal votes to finish imminently, after which final verification will be carried out in Pristina.
