Kosovo war crimes evidence links perpetrator to Austrian police service

Researcher Esat Shala has compiled extensive archival material, including hundreds of hours of footage and photographs, documenting Serbian atrocities against Albanians in Kosovo during 1998-1999. Among the evidence is a photograph depicting Gorolub Paunovic, a former postal worker in Vushtrri, committing the act of throat-slitting a young Albanian boy.

Shala reports that Paunovic currently resides in Austria and has previously served as a member of the Austrian police force. The researcher claims that much of this evidence was originally secured by KLA soldiers following battles.

Despite submitting over 2,000 hours of recordings to the Special Court in The Hague via lawyer Luka Misetic, Shala alleges that the court has failed to act on these specific findings. He further suggests that political influence from Serbia and Russia may be impacting the judicial process regarding these war crimes.
