Kosovo Alliance party sets demands for backing LVV presidential nominee

Avni Arifi, secretary‑general of Kosovo's Alliance (AAK), announced that the party will support the presidential candidate put forward by the Vetëvendosje movement (LVV) only if a set of six conditions is guaranteed. The demands include acceptance of U.S. gas supplies, tax relief for small businesses, support for agriculture, an increased infrastructure budget, immediate commencement of a thermal power plant project, and a €1 billion fund for the capital. Arifi said the Alliance’s seven MPs are ready to provide the quorum needed for the president’s election without seeking ministerial posts or other government positions. He awaits an invitation from LVV leader Albin Kurti to discuss the issues, emphasizing that the conditions are negotiable but essential for Kosovo’s strategic partnership and economic development.
