Kosovo's USHAF University funding at risk after 120 firms demand budget support
The Industrial Board of the University of Applied Sciences Ferizaj (USHAF) said 120 partner businesses have appealed to the Kosovo government to keep the university funded in the upcoming budget law. The board warned that excluding USHAF would damage a proven model of cooperation between higher education and the private sector that has supplied skilled graduates, created new companies and contributed to the country's economic development.
The board urged the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation and parliamentarians to review the draft budget and ensure state financing for USHAF. It emphasized that the support is not only for a university but for practical‑oriented education, local industry, youth employment and Kosovo’s economic future.
