Kosta Runjaic dismissed by Udinese amid Poland national team interest

Udinese has dismissed German manager Kosta Runjaic following a 5-2 home defeat against Roma. The loss marked the seventh defeat in ten league matches, leaving the club in third to last place with only five points. The decision follows a period of poor form where the team secured only one point in their last eight outings.

Despite his departure from Serie A, Runjaic is reportedly a leading candidate to become the new head coach of the Poland national team, potentially succeeding Jan Urban. Runjaic has prior experience in Poland, having coached Legia Warsaw between 2022 and 2024.

Udinese management is currently seeking a successor, with Paolo Zanetti reportedly identified as a primary candidate to lead the team in their upcoming match against Venezia.
