Kostas Gioutikas presents infrastructure demands to Prime Minister

Kostas Gioutikas, the Deputy Regional Governor of Central Macedonia and Vice Governor of Thessaloniki, has presented a list of strategic infrastructure projects to Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. These proposals aim to accelerate development in the Central Macedonia region and support ongoing large-scale investments.

The requested projects include critical road connections, such as linking the Port of Thessaloniki to the PATHE highway and the Egnatia Odos. Gioutikas also emphasized the need for priority flood protection works in areas including the Thessaloniki Vegetable Market, Dendropotamos, Kalochori, and the former Gonou camp.

Additionally, the list includes new strategic projects like the construction of a road connecting the flyover to the Thermi–Galatista axis to ensure safe traffic flow toward Halkidiki. Many of these initiatives are described as essential works that were previously planned but have since been removed from ministerial programming.
