Kostas Skandalidis criticizes Greek government policy
Kostas Skandalidis has issued sharp criticism against the Greek government regarding its handling of national issues and economic measures. He described current government subsidies as ‘aspirin for a serious illness’ and warned that the upcoming winter could be ‘literally unbearable’ due to high fuel and heating costs.
Skandalidis noted that despite the government managing over 100 billion euros in the last six years, these funds have not significantly impacted production, regional development, or the lives of citizens. He asserted that the PASOK program is both costed and implementable.
Regarding foreign policy, Skandalidis criticized the Prime Minister’s recent visit to the United States during the UN General Assembly, suggesting it lacked a noticeable impact. He also called for a strategic reassessment of Greece-Turkey relations, advocating for methodical bilateral contacts rather than reactive stances.
