ONNED celebrates 52 years with call for 2027 election mobilization

Greek Vice President Kostis Hatzidakis hosted a large-scale event at the Glasshouse in Goudi to commemorate the 52nd anniversary of ONNED, the youth wing of the New Democracy party. The gathering brought together thousands of members and representatives from various generations, including former and current officials.

During his speech, Hatzidakis called for mass mobilization and active participation in the upcoming 2027 electoral battle, stating that the outcome will determine the future course of Greece and its progress toward the goals of 2030. He emphasized that while New Democracy remains an open and multi-faceted party, ONNED members and DAP-NDFK alumni constitute its core.

Hatzidakis also addressed internal party dynamics, acknowledging that some members have expressed grievances regarding a lack of recognition for their contributions. He pledged to address these issues and correct mistakes where necessary to ensure party unity. The event featured a commemorative video highlighting ONNED’s history from 1974 to the present, including appearances by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
