Kostis Miller-McIntyre discusses transition to Olympiacos

Basketball player Kostis Miller-McIntyre has discussed his transition to Olympiacos and his observations of head coach Georgios Bartzokas ahead of the EuroLeague SuperCup in Abu Dhabi.

Miller-McIntyre noted a striking similarity between his own temperament and Bartzokas’s personality. He described the coach as a relaxed individual off the court who undergoes a significant transformation once a game begins, stating, “It is amazing. You can understand that he is very passionate about basketball... when the game starts, something changes.”

Regarding his move from Red Star Belgrade, the American-Bulgarian guard admitted the decision to leave was difficult due to his connection to the Serbian club and its fans. However, he viewed joining Olympiacos as an ideal career move. He emphasized that while he has observed the team’s system for years, adapting to it as an active participant requires significant adjustment to his playing style and learning the specific habits and preferences of his new teammates.
