Kostoulas and Karetsas named Golden Boy 2026 finalists
The final list of 25 candidates for the 2026 Golden Boy award has been announced by the Italian newspaper Tuttosport. The award recognizes the best young football talent playing in European leagues.
Two Greek international players, Charalampos Kostoulas and Konstantinos Karetsas, have been named among the finalists. Kostoulas, who plays for Brighton, secured his position as a wildcard selection. Karetsas, playing for Borussia Dortmund, earned a direct spot in the final phase after ranking 16th in the voting process.
The selection process began with an initial list of 100 players. The previous recipient of the award was Désiré Doué of Paris Saint-Germain.
