Bielsko-Biała allocates 21 million PLN for VeloBiała cycling route

The city of Bielsko-Biała has signed an agreement for over 21 million PLN to develop the VeloBiała cycling route. The project, executed by ARBUD, involves reconstructing nine intersections and various roads to improve safety and separate cycling traffic from pedestrian paths.

Key infrastructure upgrades include the modernization of five bus bays, the reconstruction of approximately 30 exits, and the installation of new energy-efficient lighting. The project will also feature 15 safe pedestrian-cyclist crossings, two rest areas for cyclists, and the city's first bicycle counter near Tadeusza Bora-Komorowskiego Street.

The contractor is expected to complete the task within 550 days of signing the contract, with a final deadline set for April 27, 2028. Work will be carried out in stages, with the first section between Chabrowa Street and the Mikuszowice junction scheduled for completion within 190 days.
