Koszalin police seize 250 liters of illegal alcohol

Police from the Economic Crime Department in Koszalin, Poland, have seized nearly 250 liters of illegally produced alcohol. The operation led to the detention of a 63-year-old resident of Koszalin.

Investigators determined that the individual was diluting ethyl alcohol with demineralized water in 5-liter containers to create a finished product. The production was conducted without the mandatory registration required by the Director General of the National Support Centre for Agriculture.

Authorities noted that illegal alcohol production bypasses essential quality controls, sanitary requirements, and fire safety regulations, posing potential health risks to consumers. The 63-year-old man faces charges regarding the illegal production of ethyl alcohol.
