Kota Kinabalu man found dead after car accident

A search and rescue operation in Kota Kinabalu has concluded with the discovery of a 27-year-old man's body. The man was found dead approximately two kilometers away from the site where his Honda WR-V had veered off the road and plunged into a ditch at Jalan Kawakaan.

The incident was initially reported on a Wednesday afternoon after the vehicle was found abandoned in a ditch. Following an initial search by the Lintas Fire and Rescue Station and the Royal Malaysia Police, the operation was suspended overnight.

On the second day of the search, firefighters utilized water surface search methods in ditches connected to a stream. The victim was located at 10:28 a.m. and was confirmed dead at the scene by police. The operation was officially concluded at noon after authorities ensured no further hazards remained at the location.
