Kota: Two students die in separate incidents

Two students preparing for competitive examinations have died in separate incidents in Kota, Rajasthan, prompting police investigations.

A 16-year-old JEE aspirant from Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh, was found hanging in his paying guest (PG) accommodation in Mahaveer Nagar First on Sunday night. The student had been living in Kota for approximately six months to prepare for the Joint Entrance Examination. After the student failed to respond to peers, the PG manager reportedly discovered him through a window. Police have informed the family, and the cause of death remains under investigation.

In a second incident, a 19-year-old NEET aspirant from Darbhanga, Bihar, died at MBS Hospital after being found unconscious in his hostel bathroom. The student had been residing in the Landmark area for about two years. Following reports of the student being unresponsive, hostel management broke open the door on October 25. While a minor injury was noted near the student's ear, the circumstances are unclear. The student's family has raised suspicions, and police have registered a case under Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code.
