Kotawaringin Barat celebrates 67th anniversary with focus on culture

Central Kalimantan Governor Agustiar Sabran attended the 67th anniversary ceremony of Kotawaringin Barat Regency in Pangkalan Bun. During the traditional ceremony, the Governor emphasized the necessity of preserving local customs and cultural values amidst the pressures of globalization and digitalization.

Agustiar stated that regional development must progress without allowing local culture to fade. He encouraged the community to remain proud of their heritage, specifically citing the ‘Falsafah Huma Betang’ and ‘Belom Bahadat’ values as essential guides for social and national life. The event was attended by local government officials, religious leaders, and descendants of the regency's founders.
