Kotor hosts IX International Art Festival ‘Zasjaće palaci’

The IX International Art Festival ‘Zasjaće palaci’ was held in Kotor, Montenegro, transforming the Old Town into an open-air contemporary art gallery. Organized by the City Gallery Kotor since 2017, the event aims to move visual arts out of traditional gallery spaces and into the public sphere.

This year’s festival featured 18 academic artists from Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Turkey, Germany, Albania, Italy, and France. Their works were presented through standalone audio-visual presentations projected directly onto the facades of the Old Town’s historic buildings and walls, turning the city's palaces into monumental canvases.
