Kotsovolos and AFIS complete biodiversity and honey donation initiative

Kotsovolos and AFIS, in collaboration with Bee for Planet, have concluded their ‘Bee the Change – Make the Difference’ initiative. The project, which began on June 5, 2025, encouraged consumers to recycle batteries at specialized AFIS bins located in 59 Kotsovolos stores across Greece.

The initiative resulted in the creation of 21 new apiaries containing over 420,000 bees, contributing to biodiversity across more than 28,000 acres. Following the honey harvest, 750 specially designed jars of honey were donated to four charitable organizations: Smile of the Child, the Elefsina Love Center, Filiki Fovlia, and the Municipality of Athens Reception and Solidarity Center (K.Y.A.D.A.).
