Kouss-Kouss Festival returns to Marseille for 9th edition

The 9th edition of the Kouss-Kouss Festival is scheduled to take place in Marseille from August 21 to September 6, 2026. This culinary and cultural event focuses on couscous and will feature more than 300 participating addresses, including restaurants, shops, and cultural venues across all city districts.

The 2026 theme highlights aromatic and wild herbs, such as mint, coriander, thyme, basil, sage, fennel, sea samphire, and salicornia. The festival aims to explore the biodiversity and Mediterranean traditions associated with these plants, moving beyond the dish itself to discuss gathering, transmission, and the relationship with the living environment.
