Regional school infrastructure projects expand across Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina

Multiple regional projects are underway to modernize school infrastructure and transition educational institutions to single-shift schedules.

In Croatia, construction has begun on the Košute branch school near Trilj, a project valued at over 11.8 million euros funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and Split-Dalmatia County. Minister of Science, Education and Youth Radovan Fuchs and County Prefect Blaženko Boban emphasized that the goal is to eliminate two-shift schooling across the country. Similarly, in Čavle, contracts worth 3.77 million euros have been signed for the reconstruction and expansion of the local primary school to enable single-shift classes.

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, significant investments are also being made. In Tomislavgrad, a 6 million marka project is set to expand the Ivan Mažuranić Primary School with 26 new classrooms and specialized facilities. In Grude, the laying of the foundation stone for the Ruđer Bošković Primary School and Music School marks a major expansion, supported by funds from the West Herzegovina Canton and the Government of the Republic of Croatia to improve local educational capacity.
