Kowala Challenge honors Polish aviators Żwirko and Wigura

The fourth edition of the Kowala Challenge took place at the Jan Paweł II Primary School in Parznice. The event served as a historical tribute to the famous Polish aviators Franciszek Żwirko and Stanisław Wigura, who died in a plane crash in September 1932.

The event included various aviation-themed activities, such as demonstrations by professional drones from the State Fire Service in Radom and local photographers, as well as a paramotor display. Students from the Stanisław Staszic Secondary School in Iłża participated by presenting military preparation units and an honor guard.

The program concluded with a traditional ceremony involving flower laying at the memorial in Kowala, which was originally erected in 1932 to honor the duo.
