Kozan Mayor discusses citrus exports and road projects in Ankara

Kozan Mayor Mustafa Atlı conducted high-level meetings in Ankara to address regional issues regarding the citrus industry and transportation infrastructure. During discussions with MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, Atlı presented the demands of local producers and exporters, specifically focusing on the Mediterranean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters' Association's DİFİF application and ensuring safe citrus export routes to Russia.

Regarding infrastructure, Atlı met with Deputy General Manager of Highways Ahmet Sağlam. These talks aimed to expedite the tender process for a critical 3.5-kilometer section of the Mansurlu-Kozan road, specifically the stretch leading to the İndirme location. The Adana Regional Directorate of Highways has reportedly been authorized to begin this process in the coming weeks.

Additionally, the meetings covered the aftermath of recent forest fires in the region and efforts to increase the added value of Kozan's citrus products by expanding export markets and attracting new exporters to the district.
