Kozani Shelter for Minors Renovation Contract Signed

The Greek Minister of Justice, George Floridis, together with Western Macedonia Governor George Amanatidis and local officials, signed a programmatic contract to renovate the Shelter for Minors in Kozani. The building has remained closed since 2009‑2010, and the contract initiates a 371,760 € refurbishment funded entirely by the Funding Fund for Judicial Buildings (TAHDIK).

The Western Macedonia Region will manage the tender, supervision and implementation, using a technical study already prepared by its engineering services. The renovated shelter will provide safe accommodation, education, psychosocial support and overall protection for vulnerable children in the region, strengthening the local child‑protection system.
