Kozarevac bull sold to Austria for 35,000 euros
The Imbrišić family from Kozarevac has sold a world-class bull, named ‘Croatien’, to an Austrian buyer for 35,000 euros. Despite being less than a year old, the bull has ranked as the best in its category following extensive testing.
According to officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, the bull’s genetic profile ensures high-quality offspring capable of producing significant amounts of milk and meat. This sale highlights the success of long-term genotyping efforts in Croatia, which have been conducted for 15 years alongside nations like Germany and Austria. To date, nearly 6,000 breeding animals have been genotyped in the region, with this bull being the 18th in the program.
