Kozarevtets hosts 14th annual Chicken Soup Festival

The village of Kozarevtets hosted the 14th annual Chicken Soup Festival, a traditional event aimed at preserving Bulgarian culinary heritage and local folklore. The celebration took place in the park area surrounding the ‘Zemedelets-1899’ community center.

Local officials from the Lyaskovets Municipality and Kozarevtets administration officially opened the event. The culinary competition featured 14 teams from the Lyaskovets municipality and neighboring areas, all competing to prepare the most authentic chicken soup using traditional recipes, fresh garden vegetables, and locally raised poultry.

A professional jury evaluated the entries based on strict criteria, including color, thickness, aroma, taste, and presentation.
