KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi announces zero-tolerance policy against terrorism

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has announced that the Prime Minister has adopted a zero-tolerance policy regarding terrorism in the province. Speaking to the media in Peshawar, Kundi stated that the federal government has accepted the province's demands and expressed readiness to provide additional funds to combat terrorism.

The Governor highlighted that security forces will be supported with modern weaponry, noting that funds may be diverted from development budgets to equip the police. He expressed concern that advanced weapons left behind following the withdrawal of international forces from Afghanistan have fallen into the hands of terrorists.

In addition to security, Kundi addressed governance and provincial rights. He vowed that those responsible for the wheat scandal would face consequences and emphasized that illegal encroachments would not be tolerated. He also stated that the provincial government would advocate for the province's rights regarding water and other resources before the federation. Regarding the economy, Kundi noted that while the province possesses significant mineral resources, it lacks the necessary capital to exploit them, asserting that Pakistani companies should be given priority in mineral exploration and extraction.
