Köpings Bostads AB introduces youth rental discounts

Köpings Bostads AB is implementing a youth discount program to address vacancy rates within its housing stock. The municipal housing company reports that approximately 4.5 percent of its 2,700 apartments are currently vacant.

To combat this, the company is offering special rental rates for residents aged 18 to 25. Helene Lindberg, the company's real estate manager, noted that the initiative serves as a way to test different housing concepts and build long-term relationships with tenants. One month into the program, three out of ten targeted apartments have been rented.
