India's Sensex and Nifty rebound after two days of decline

The BSE Sensex rose 182.42 points to 76,661.36 and the NSE Nifty gained 49.90 points to 23,916.85 on Wednesday, reversing losses from the prior two trading sessions. Gains were driven by a positive global backdrop, including higher Asian indices and a modest rise in Brent crude to about $73 per barrel. Major winners included Mahindra & Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, Titan, Hindustan Unilever and Adani Ports, while laggards featured Tech Mahindra and Bajaj Finserv. Foreign Institutional Investors sold roughly ₹2,557 crore on June 30, but the market recovered on the strength of auto‑stock buying and optimism over the US‑India trade agreement and easing Middle‑East tensions.

IT stocks showed mixed performance; KPIT Technologies fell over 14 % after warning that Q1 FY27 revenues would be about 1 % lower than expected due to recent European OEM profit warnings. Other IT shares such as Tata Elxsi and Cigniti also slipped, contributing to the sector being the day's biggest drainer. Overall, the rebound highlights investor sensitivity to global cues and sector‑specific news in India’s equity market.
