Indonesia's anti‑corruption agency KPK expands collaborations and demands stricter governance
BPJS Kesehatan has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to tighten governance of the national health insurance programme JKN. The agreement includes adopting ISO‑37001 anti‑bribery management, a dedicated anti‑gratification unit and a whistle‑blowing system, aiming to protect the more than 285 million participants.
Pos Indonesia announced a partnership with KPK to reinforce its internal controls and foster a sustainable anti‑corruption culture. The postal firm will implement a System Management Anti‑Penyuapan (SMAP), adhere to Good Corporate Governance standards and pursue a “Zero Fraud” policy.
KPK’s regional director Bahtiar Ujang Purnama called on the DKI Jakarta provincial government to become a model “anti‑corruption zone”, citing Indonesia’s low score on the Corruption Perception Index and urging stronger transparency and integrity in public services.
Separately, the civil alliance ARUKKI urged KPK’s oversight board to sanction investigators handling a corruption case involving two members of parliament accused of misusing Bank Indonesia’s CSR funds. The group criticised the probe as lacking seriousness and professionalism, and demanded swift action.
