KPK investigates Ridwan Kamil's Volvo purchase in corruption probe

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has questioned Erwin Muniruzaman, the brother of former West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil, regarding the purchase of a Volvo vehicle. The investigation is part of a probe into alleged corruption involving Bank BJB.

Investigators are examining the origins and funding of the vehicle purchase, which took place in 2023 while Ridwan Kamil was serving as Governor. Erwin, who serves as the President Director of PT Inucom Bisnis Agra, was questioned alongside Aburizal Ahmad Sofwan, a marketing communications official from Bank BJB headquarters.

KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that the agency is looking into the transaction's timeline and source of funds. Information obtained during the inquiry suggests the Volvo is no longer in Ridwan Kamil's possession and was allegedly sold by Erwin in August.
