National Land Agency office in East Java raided by KPK

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) conducted an 11-hour raid on September 24, 2026, at the East Java Regional Office of the National Land Agency (BPN). During the operation, investigators seized hundreds of millions of rupiah in cash and gold jewelry estimated to be worth tens of millions of rupiah.

KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that the funds are suspected to have originated from land service applicants and deposits from various regional land offices across East Java. Investigators are also examining why some individuals converted cash into gold jewelry. The raid also resulted in the seizure of electronic evidence and various important documents.

The investigation is part of a broader corruption probe involving the Ministry of ATR/BPN, specifically concerning the unblocking of Summarecon land plots in Bogor Regency and alleged job-selling practices. To date, the KPK has named eight suspects, including Sontang Coin Manurung, Fahd El Fouz, Arif Sugiyanto, and Summarecon President Director Adrianto Pitojo Adhi.
