KPK warns Minister Nusron Wahid to cooperate with corruption probe

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has issued a stern warning to the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Nusron Wahid, to cooperate with upcoming investigations. This follows Nusron's failure to attend a scheduled summons on October 7, 2026, regarding an alleged corruption case within the Ministry of ATR/BPN.

KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that investigators will reschedule the examination and emphasized that public officials should set an example by respecting the legal process. The commission warned that non-compliance could create a public perception that law enforcement can be delayed or avoided.

Simultaneously, the East Java Anti-Corruption Committee (KAKI Jatim) has urged the KPK to take firm legal action against the Minister if he fails to appear again. KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto previously noted that the Minister should have been able to manage his schedule, as the summons had been sent a week in advance, despite claims of conflicting ministerial agendas.
