KPMG Women’s Irish Open begins at The K Club

The 2026 KPMG Women’s Irish Open commenced on Thursday at The K Club’s Palmer South Course in County Kildare. This 20th edition of the Ladies European Tour (LET) event features more than 129 players representing 34 nations, competing for a €450,000 prize purse.

Ireland is fielding a record 16 players in the tournament, including nine professionals and seven amateurs. The home challenge is led by world No. 82 Leona Maguire, supported by Áine Donegan, Anna Foster, Beth Coulter, and Lauren Walsh, as they seek the first Irish victory in the event's history.

India is represented by a four-player contingent led by two-time LET winner Diksha Dagar, who currently ranks 11th in the LET Order of Merit. Dagar is joined by Pranavi Urs, Avani Prashanth, and Tvesa Malik. Other notable international competitors include Singapore’s Shannon Tan, the winner of last season’s Order of Merit.
